Description
Prudential is seeking a Senior Production Management associate. The associate provides 24*7 support for all mainframe and distributed applications for all Prudential Business Units, under the guidance and leadership of team managers. They are accountable for the performance, as measured by several production and quality indicators. Additionally, this position involves implementation of automation and use of new technology to address opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.
Responsibilities will include:
• Provide support in meeting the key objectives of the mainframe and distributed teams as well as the objectives of our business partners, including but not limited to, managing workload, providing excellent customer service, and providing technical leadership
• Create and maintain automated utilities/processes and identify new opportunities
• Manage workload and ensures the most effective and efficient service in accordance with existing policies and procedures
• Participate in identifying and resolving issues in partnership with peers and development staff
• Monitor service levels to ensure quality and productivity standards are met
• Identify opportunities for continual process improvement
• Maintain processes & procedures and ensure timely updates to documentation
• Display effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Capable of interacting with all levels of Prudential associates including training to peers as appropriate
• Display strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Assist team with all aspects of the job with ability to provide oversight of critical functions
• Varying work schedules which includes on-call, after hours, and weekend coverage
• May receive instruction, guidance and direction from others
For U.S. employees, this job is exempt and therefore not eligible for overtime
Qualifications
• 5 to 7 years IT Support experience in both mainframe and distributed platforms
• Strong knowledge of supporting both mainframe and distributed processing
• Primary skills required in JCL, ChangeMan, Remedy, Jobtrac, and Autosys
• Knowledge of Office 365 environment (Exchange/Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Webservices, HTML, SAS, Tableau, REXX or other tools are a plus
• Ability to manage multiple requests and projects simultaneously
• Ability to partner effectively with peers and colleagues across multiple business groups, with locations both domestically and internationally
• Highly motivated, conceptual thinker; able to work independently and within a team
• Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills
• College degree or equivalent experience required
