The Account Representative is responsible for assisting Account Managers and Producers with the servicing of assigned accounts in accordance with the practices, policies and procedures of the Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepares and coordinates all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts, including but not limited to:
n Applications
n billing
n policies
n certificates of insurance
n endorsements
n invoices
n proposals for new and renewal accounts
n change request
n endorsements
n audits
n annual reviews
n cancellations
2. Prepares invoices, transmittals, ID cards, certificates of insurance, binders and cancellation forms as required
3. Reviews and processes change requests in the agency management system
4. Sets- up and maintains new and renewal client files
5. Participates in the renewal preparation process, including generating renewal updates on accounts specified by the Producer
6. Provides quality customer service to clients, team members, and carriers
7. Reviews policies and endorsements for completeness and accuracy
8. Prepares policies for delivery to clients
9. Communicates with company personnel regarding the client’s needs and/or issues
10. Maintains an accurate suspense system on all items that require a response
11. Fields phone calls from insureds regarding questions about their coverage, changes, additions, payments, cancellations etc.
12. Maintains complete customer files
13. Responsible for scanning communications and documents
14. Input/maintain data on account management system and ancillary systems as required
15. Provide mailroom and switchboard support, when needed
16. Other reasonable duties as assigned by your supervisor

Work experience requirements
1. At least one year of insurance experience strongly preferred
2. Exceptional customer service skills
3. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills
4. Proven ability of working in a successful team environment
5. Strong data entry skills
6. Ability to exercise independent judgment
7. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet utilization
8. Applied Agency Management System experience preferred but not required
education requirements
High School Diploma required; Associates degree preferred
Licensing or certification Requirements
Willingness to obtain state insurance (P&C/Life & Health) licenses
