A day in your life as a Treasury Analytics Analyst:
Under the direction of the Manager, this position is responsible for certain analytics related duties supporting corporate-wide balance sheet initiatives. If applicable or appropriate, assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act. In addition, demonstrates the Excellence in Sales/Service (ESS) philosophy by participating in and practicing ESS disciplines and behaviors.
We’ll give you these important responsibilities…
• Provides analytic support for corporate balance sheet initiatives. Researches and analyzes assigned market and economic conditions and operational results and collaborates with business units in order to understand the business context and identify potential opportunities. Helps develop strategies to capitalize on opportunities within identified risk tolerances, including interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, funding and liquidity risk, and overall asset / liability management issues. Monitors strategy implementation, including report development and tracking. Works on idea generation and development, effectively communicates ideas and works to prioritize the needs of the overall institution. May conduct presentations and communicate at all levels.
• May assist with coordination of department capital and operating budgets, human and material resource requirements and management reports. Supports establishing department goals and objectives. May contribute to division long range planning; monitors expense and expense management efforts. In addition, may assist in management of department level projects related to services, operations, systems and technologies. Assists with the development and implementation of procedural, operational and system changes. May support negotiation of contracts and management of vendors, suppliers and other external institutions. Assists with division level and other external projects related to or impacting department services, operations, systems and technologies.
• Develops analytics resources and supports information culture. Provides general technical and operations support. Initiates, receives, researches and resolves routine and some non-routine inquiries. Handles operational tasks. Ensures proper operational policies and procedures are followed, controls exercised and errors corrected.
Qualifications

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree with major in finance, accounting or related area or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
• Minimum three to four years of increasingly responsible positions in financial management, management reporting and analysis or related areas.
• Should include project management or process improvement team experience with significant roles and implementation responsibilities.
• Some exposure to strategy development, analytic reporting or related experience preferred.
• Banking or other financial service industry experience also preferred.
Technical Skills:
• Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point) or similar software.
• Knowledge of or ability to use bank software and systems.
Other Job Qualifications:
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of management.
• Possess strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills to identify opportunities and risks and make recommendations.
• Able analyze and interpret and communicate findings in a business context.
• Must demonstrate strong project management and implementation skills.
• Proactive, curious, self-starter who requires minimal supervision with the ability to work across multiple departments and divisions.
• Demonstrated drive to learn, research, and resolve issues independently and/or with others.
• Able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed or assigned.
