The primary duties of the Automotive Solutions Administration Director are:
• Manages Automotive Solutions Quality Assurance, Process Improvement, Technology and Systems, and Project Management units including budgeting, staffing and development, supervision of staff and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Gathers and analyzes information related to operational, financial, member satisfaction and Associate performance. Makes decisions and implements positive changes in these areas based on sound judgment, while maintaining a clear perspective on the organization and business.
• Directs the duties and activities of the Quality Assurance unit. Develops and implements programs related to improving member satisfaction across the entire business line.
• Oversees the deployment, training and effective utilization of Automotive Solutions Technology and Systems to internal staff and Independent Contractor Network.
• Directs the efforts of the Process Improvement Manager, as it pertains to selecting, prioritizing, and implementing internal and external process improvement recommendations.
• Directs the efforts of Project Management to ensure that key business line projects are effectively executed in alignment with business line and organizational strategic goals.
• Develops and manages mutually beneficial business relationships with new and existing vendors of technological and quality monitoring products to AAA Club Alliance and its third party contractors and ensures that those vendors deliver products and services in the manner required for optimal performance. Works with R/A External Operations and Approved Auto Repair teams to assess technology geared toward tracking and trending results of lead management efforts pertaining to the contractor network.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (analysis), Business Management, Process Improvement, IT or related field; Master’s Degree in Business (MBA) preferred. Certification in a proven Quality and Process Improvement discipline such as Six Sigma or TQM preferred.
• 10+ years of applicable experience, with 5+ years of managerial or leadership experience.
• Ability to manage diverse functions, effectively motivate staff, work autonomously and interact with multiple levels and departments.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and operational data.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills, including a strong background in customer service.
• Strong knowledge and application skills, and ability to act as leader on strategic planning, business management, project management principles.
• Strong interpretation and facilitation skills to ensure understanding of strategic plans, business issues within a diverse, expanded group of senior managers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to effectively manage interpersonal relationships.
• Effective meeting facilitation skills and a demonstrated ability to lead meeting participants through to consensus toward a common end state. Ability to present and explain complex business and financial information.
• Strong business writing and communications skills, demonstrating the ability to create succinct qualitative and quantitative work as well as the ability to work independently on detailed and complex initiatives and projects.
• Strong PC skills, including the ability to create advanced spreadsheets, databases, web pages, and executive level PowerPoint presentations.
• Ability to travel as required to various ACA locations, etc.
