Business Overview:
NA Procurement supports all entities within the North America region in the process of buying goods and services that are required to support the operations of BNP Paribas. Consistent with Global and CIB Procurement, the mission of NA Procurement is to effectively manage third parties.
NA Procurement Front Office is responsible for ensuring that any new demands strictly adhere to internal procurement policies and procedures. NA Procurement Front Office – Consulting Services focus on management consulting category spend category. The Consulting lead buyer ensures that all new engagement and or extensions are in line with sourcing best practices and controls while meeting business requirements at the best value.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the BNP Paribas North America Procurement Front Office Buyer team operational control policies and best practices with strong initial focus on management consulting sourcing and ability to also handle other kind of sourcing;
• Serve as control level and provide due diligence for sourcing initiatives
• Oversight and improvement of sourcing initiatives locally, regionally and globally.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, customers and internal departments;
• Ability to regularly track all aspects of the sourcing process, from initial business requirements, followed by management validation to final engagement execution
• Responsible for ensuring that RFPs becomes part of the sourcing process so as to better protect the bank as well as leading negotiations.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers,
• Ability to add value to the supplier chain by meeting cash savings sourcing initiatives objectives
• Ability to multi run the various Procurement Front Office activities
• Promoting the Procurement Front Office function by adding value to the bank, to the sourcing consumers and the bank procurement department.
Minimum Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or procurement (Master’s degree preferred)
• 10 + years’ experience in procurement related activities
• Experience and expertise in US supplier management regulatory requirements, best practices, audits and controls
• Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills
• Strong work ethics and ability to work with confidential information
• Managerial and interpersonal skills to successfully collaborate with various teams of professionals and liaise with internal and external groups/ individuals, locally, regionally and globally
• Ability to analyze complex situations in a timely and effective manner
• Critical thinking to assist in evaluating supplier information
• Experience with procurement supply management tools/ software including procurement and project management programs (Ariba, Coupa, IQN)
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, Visio.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in procurement / sourcing departments of financial institutions
