Opportunity Overview
Department: FATA - Transition and Integration
Description: The mission of the Transition & Integration Team is to ensure we hire the right Financial Advisors (FA), create a best in class onboarding experience and act as advocates for financial advisors to fully realize the Edward Jones Opportunity. As a Practice Acquisition manager you will be working with Talent Acquisition to assist in the recruitment of Emerging Producers (EP) to support the growth and health of the firm. You will partner to develop and execute on EP Strategies, evaluate a candidate's fit with the firm including but not limited to determining the portability and suitability of the FAs book of business to Edward Jones.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and execute strategies and business plans to attract Emerging Producers
• Lead the hiring process for Emerging Producers: this includes reviewing candidate offers, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing necessary changes, ensuring process compliance
• Promote the Edward Jones Opportunity and be able to discuss the Edward Jones Opportunity in context within the industry
• Ability to evaluate a Financial Advisor's book of business to determine portability and suitability for Edward Jones and appropriately categorize recruit type
• Manage the hiring of Emerging Producers, which includes partnering with various departments such as, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Training, Compliance, etc., and facilitate work space and technology needs
• Manage relationships with Talent Acquisition teams to provide guidance and resources for attracting and sourcing a pool of qualified Emerging Producers
• Gather marketing intelligence on other firms and industries
• Maintain and be able to communicate advanced knowledge of Edward Jones as well as competitor firms products and services platform to experienced candidates
• Lead and mentor the Senior Practice Acquisition Consultants and Practice Acquisition Consultants
Position Requirements
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Series 7 required to apply
• Series 66 required within 6 months of hire
• 10 years of Financial Services Experience
• 5 plus years of leadership/management required
• Must have the ability to lead, manage and develop leaders, associates and programs
• Industry Knowledge:
◦ Ability to develop and implement new business strategies to support the changing market conditions and future firm growth
◦ Knowledge of products, tools, and capabilities to meet our clients needs as well as the ability to articulate this understanding
• Firm Knowledge:
◦ Ability to propose and articulate the fit of producing transfers and the suitability of their business for the financial advisor position with professionalism and sensitivity
• Ability to relay messages to the field and home office constituents
