Major Responsibilities:
The VP, Data Quality Lead is required to lead Data Management related initiatives for Americas Financial Crimes Compliance (AFCC) Data Office. The specifics of the job include:
• Support the AML & Sanctions Data Governance program, specifically addressing the program needs of the data management pillar in consultation with the regional compliance, Chief Data Office, and business and systems teams. The Data Management program pillar will specifically support the program level requirements and BAU processes established for Data Quality (DQ) monitoring, Metadata Management. (Business and Technical), Issue Management (E2E Issue Lifecycle), Change Governance and Wire DQ
• The various BAU responsibilities that will be covered by this role include the creation of
Data Definitions for the respective data elements, operationalizing the maintenance of Data Lineage and a Data Dictionary for change requests impacting KDEs, and DQ remediation using the frameworks prescribed by the program
In addition, the individual will also provide DQ monitoring oversight and program level guidance towards process maturity, including but not limited to:
• Defining a data quality reporting strategy, driven by AFCC priorities and material risk
• Defining data quality measures and controls through end to end data flows
• Creating processes for definition, application and reporting of DQ metrics
• Working with AFCC stakeholders to define data quality thresholds.
Finally, it will be expected that the individual selected will also provide support to the AML/Sanctions Data Governance program and AFCC management on management reporting as required and will assist in data quality reviews and testing.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience working directly on Data Management initiatives
• Experience working on ETL & Data Quality implementation
• Expert level SQL and relational database (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL) knowledge
• Working knowledge and understanding of Data Governance principles
• General understanding of the financial services industry
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing methodologies, master data management, ETL, and Data Quality best practices
