U.S. Bank EEO Investigations and Labor Relations Director - Minneapolis, MN
The EEO Investigations and Labor Relations Director leads a centralized team of EEO Investigators, oversees labor relations and works with various partners to help set and execute on various strategies for the Bank.
The ideal candidate for this position has significant experience in employee relations and labor matters, excellent business judgment, and strong communication and interpersonal skills that will enable them to work successfully on a broad variety of issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the team responsible for conducting and/or managing investigations into sensitive workplace issues.
• Develop standardized investigation processes and procedures.
• Implement standardized investigation process, including determining issues appropriate for escalation and managing work flow.
• Oversee Labor Relations Consultant, and partner with HR Business Partners to achieve business objectives.
• Work with partners to respond to unfair labor practice charges.
• Develop and conduct HR and manager training.
• Oversee development and implementation of tracking system/data analysis program and related periodic reporting.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Advanced degree, JD, or other specialized training in labor/employee relations a significant plus
• Expertise in handling or advising on complex employee relations issues and labor matters
• Management/supervisory experience
• Knowledge of federal, state and local labor and employment laws and regulations
• Expertise in managing and conducting workplace investigations, and knowledge of related issues
• Experience with interpreting and providing guidance on HR policies
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and judgment while working collaboratively with a variety of teams
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees
• Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite systems including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
