Description
Role:
To direct the operations of a medium sized ($50 – $75 million in assets) remote bank facility, ensuring the branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service, and growth plans. Ensures customers are promptly and professionally served. Trains, directs, and supervises branch staff. Accountable for maximizing revenues, sales, customer satisfaction, and minimizing operational losses as well as deepening existing relationships and minimizing customer attrition. Responsible for successful implementation of promotional campaigns and product initiatives at the branch level. Incumbents are either sales (with business development goals) or service focused.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Underwrites loans within authorized levels; reviews loan underwriting decisions of subordinate personnel.
Manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency and the potential of the human assets of the company, including: hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion and termination, as appropriate. Ensures branch security in accordance with established policies.
Monitors all branch activities to insure they are in compliance with established bank policies, procedures and government regulations.
Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and insures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with customers and business, community, and civic organizations, as well as suppliers, other financial institutions, and other similar groups. Inspire subordinates to participate in community service activities, groups and Boards to represent the Bank.
Maintains communications with main office; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
Controls past due and charged off accounts for the branch.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
Experience
Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
A college degree.
Interpersonal Skills
The ability to motivate or influence senior level personnel, internally or externally, is a key component of the job, requiring a significant level of expertise, credibility, influence and trust. Proficiency in developing and delivering material presentations on complex topics can be important to fulfilling the responsibilities of the position. The inability to communicate at this level would disqualify the individual from being able to fulfill their job responsibilities.

Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise.

Must be able to perform job functions independently and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to plan and direct the work activities of self and others. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations with extreme accuracy. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
