Job Description
Everest Insurance, a member of Everest Re Group, Ltd., has an opportunity available for a Vice President level role leading the newly formed Everest Risk Consultants (ERC) business unit in the Liberty Corner, New Jersey headquarters.
This individual will report to the Everest Insurance Chief Administrative Officer, and will lead the ongoing development and provision of a number of risk mitigation services to Everest Insurance® insureds. These services will include Loss Control strategic advice and program execution; Premium Audit program design and execution; Client Services for new and renewal clients; and other enhanced insured services such as the ZERO® Safety System, the HR Risk Management HELPLINE service, fleet safety, and training and compliance services. This is a customer-facing role that will include coordination with Sales and Distribution to provide sales support to UW, Claims, and Loss Control functions. The VP of Everest Risk Consultants will be responsible for setting and meeting revenue (fee income) and expense goals for the ERC unit.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Business Unit Leadership – Oversight and management of business relationships within Everest Insurance, ensuring Loss Control and Premium Audit business units are defining, communicating, and delivering on KPIs and SLAs expected by Everest colleagues.
• Operating metrics – Quality, timeliness, and compliance metrics
• Relationship Management – Regular calibration with UW Business Segments, Claims, and Sales & Distribution leadership to ensure alignment, raise awareness of industry developments, and seek opportunities for improved service
• Technology enablement – Identification of improved automation and data management opportunities within Loss Control, Premium Audit, and Client Services
Vendor Management – Everest Insurance® relies on a network of experienced specialized vendors for Loss Control inspections and Premium Audits. Effective management of a complex network of specialized vendors is critical.
Client Services – Oversight of Everest Client Services, a customer-facing liaison service focused on advising clients and brokers on Everest services throughout the customer lifecycle. Serving as a point of contact through sales, onboarding, and renewal phases, Client Services ensures optimal client servicing, onboarding, and client support of TPA Administered Claims and will provide a single point of contact for internal staff, third party administrators (TPAs), and vendors. The Director of Everest Client Services will report to the VP of ERC.
Product Development, Marketing Plan Development, and Sales – Working proactively with UW leadership and Sales and Distribution, ensure that ERX is providing Value Added services that differentiate Everest Insurance® in the market
• Ongoing evaluation of new products and services – Insurtech opportunities, bundling of existing products and services
• Sales and Marketing – Development and execution of marketing, sales, and delivery strategies
Strategic Planning and Budgeting
• The VP of ERC will build the annual budget, applying analytical and marketing skills to determine reasonable fee income targets, expense and HC requirements, IT investment needed, and other key budgetary and planning efforts.
• Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing production metrics and expenses as directed by the business segment leaders and the CAO of Everest Insurance®.
Analytical Skills
• Analyze workflow and process, complex data and make good decisions that impact business segment outcomes
Work Experience & Qualifications
• At least 15 years of experience in the insurance industry.
• P&L experience preferred
• Proficiency in Project Management software (i.e. Microsoft Project), Advanced Excel (e.g. V Look-ups, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas), Business Process software, and other MS Office Suite applications required
