The Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing a multi-family portfolio. He/she will perform financial analysis and loan documentation review/analysis. Will use ORR, a corporate tool, to classify and monitor credit risk for all loans. Additionally, the incumbent for this position will interact with borrowers to ensure expectations are being met on both the borrower and the bank side. Will determine appropriate risk and when possible minimize risk to the bank. Will assist management with reporting and projects. May provide supervision/guidance to less experienced Credit Monitoring Officer as directed by department manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Generation of correspondence facilitating the monitoring of loan performance
• Loan documentation review/interpretation
• Physical evaluation of properties
• Review borrower requests, secure complete package of required exhibits and prepare draw request packages in connection with project improvement findings
• Assist management with management reporting and projects
• File maintenance in compliance with departmental and regulatory mandates
• Assist portfolio management team on departmental projects, as necessary
• Interact with borrowers relative to loan/property performance
• Timely satisfaction/compliance with investor (contractual) requirements re: loan management functions, financial analysis of project operations/borrower/property operating statements

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience
• Commercial Real Estate credit experience strongly preferred
• 3+ years as a Credit Analyst, Loan Officer, Portfolio Manager, Underwriter, Relationship Manager or related position
• Ability to establish plans of action (parameters with dates that must be fulfilled) for properties/loans with problems
• Ability to multitask
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work independently as well as able to work in a team environment
• Advanced computer skills, especially Excel/Word applications
• Strong written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Thorough knowledge of operating statements and credit policy
