Digital Operational Risk, Wealth Management
The Digital Operational Risk unit is a first line of defense function responsible for overseeing the operational risk and controls of Wealth Management’s Digital business. This team partners with management across the Digital business to assess risks, implement control processes and procedures, manage audits and exams, oversee risk management of vendors, manage business continuity plans, and conduct the annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
AVP, Digital Risk RCSA Oversight
• Develop a working knowledge of all aspects of the Digital business and new
Digital initiatives, and become an effective risk partner for the business
• Build trust and establish open lines of communication with Digital business
leaders and control partners (Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Risk etc.)
• Assist in completing the annual front to back Risk and Control Self-
Assessment (RCSA)
• Work with business and control partners to identify and rate risks based on
their impact and likelihood of occurrence
• Help document the current control environment and identify control gaps for
remediation
• Assist in rating controls based on the strength of their design and the
effectiveness of their performance, coordinating with business and control
partners to perform testing as necessary
• Assist with delivering regular status updates, metrics and reporting to senior
management based on analysis performed during the risk assessment
• Provide feedback to risk partners on areas of improvement to the risk
assessment process
In addition, the Assistant Vice President may assist and support in other team functions such as:
• Facilitate control remediation projects
• Respond to and track operational risk incidents
• Manage the risk acceptance process
• Track and report on risk issues and action plans to ensure remediations are
completed by target dates
• Prepare monthly/quarterly metrics dashboards to inform senior management of
status on key operational risk metrics and incidents
• Prepare for and manage reoccurring Risk committee meetings
Qualifications
• At least 5 years of experience in financial services Risk Management,
Compliance or Audit roles with direct-to-consumer and wealth management
experience preferred
• Demonstrate flexibility in a changing business environment and in dynamically
deploying skills as needed
• Comfort working with business, control function, and other risk management
stakeholders
• Working knowledge of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process,
procedures and practices
• Strong Power point skills required
