Description
[POSITION SUMMARY] The position will work closely with Capital Planning and Management, Risk Management, Business Line and Finance functions to develop forecasts that are consistent with company strategies.The PPNR Analytics team is responsible for the creation and ongoing management of PPNR analytical tools to support CCAR stress testing and strategic planning. The Analyst will work with a team to perform highly complex analysis of Business Unit methodologies and processes, develop forecasting strategies, support the design and development of econometric and financial models, execute forecast models and analysis for various scenarios and manage the ongoing maintenance of PPNR forecasting methodologies.The Analyst will liaise with internal and external resources, provide project management support and report issues, status and resolutions. The Analyst will also be responsible for supporting quality and performance testing on models and tools to ensure operational efficiency, and generate data extracts and reports for use in statistical analysis.The Analyst will maintain comprehensive and transparent supporting documentation for all relevant analytical tools and assumptions which will ultimately be submitted to the Fed as part of the CCAR submission. The Analyst will be responsible for ensuring consistency across models and tools employed for forecasting and stress testing.The position will work closely with Capital Planning and Management, Risk Management, Business Line and Finance functions to develop forecasts that are consistent with company strategies. [POSITION DUTIES] Assist in developing/Shaping strategies for modeling design, development, validation, implementation, monitoring and reporting.,Contribute toward all aspects of the team members life cycle, including recruitment, performance management and development.,Contribute toward the development, implementation and execution of PPNR forecasting models.,Develop analysis to support assessment and challenge of the forecasting approach/assumptions and deliver adequate information to support effective challenge at the board and management levels.,Produce and maintain robust documentation of all PPNR models, related processes and controls.,Support design & development of PPNR approaches.,Work with Capital Planning and Management, Regulatory Reporting, Strategic Planning to ensure consistency and reconciliation with relevant planning and reporting processes.,Work within cross-functional teams (Technology, Finance, Risk, Capital, etc.) projects addressing data, process, model, analytics and policy gaps involving PPNR models.,Develop business and functional requirements for PPNR model development and execution.
Qualifications
[QUALIFICATION] Bach degree in Bus Admin, Accting and/or Fin req; Masters and/or MBA in relevant financial field preferred. 3 yrs Risk/Fin exp & model dev. Quant training ,stat reg, fin analysis tech & other modeling rel to PPNR forecst and stress tsting mod [EXPERIENCE] At least 3 years [LICENSE/CERTIFICATION] CFA and/or CPA preferred [SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE] Current knowledge of industry best practices related to CCAR and PPNR.,Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels in the organization and externally, including executive management and regulators.,Professional programming background in SAS, VBA, SQL; strong skills in the use Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).,Strategic and analytical thinker, with a proven track record of pro-actively devising and implementing effective solutions to complex problems.,Working knowledge of financial theory; risk related models, CCAR/ICAAP related models, pricing and valuation models etc.
