Job Description
Director – Global Small Business, Commercial Marketing
As part of the Global Core Product Marketing Team the Director will be responsible for helping to lead marketing efforts to drive business growth. Key responsibilities include ensuring we have the right strategy, tactics and go-to-market approach in place across priority markets and developing appropriate support tools to success at a market level. Further, the position is responsible for applying results and learnings to be progressively smarter about how we invest.
Responsibilities
Drive Small Business and Commercial Marketing Strategy and Go-to-Market Approach
• Develop/refine global strategy including priority markets and ensure integrated into annual plans
• Develop/refine priority strategies and tactics based on deep level understanding of the audience(s)
• Determine specific approaches needed to address specific market needs
• Partner with relevant business functions to ensure key inter-dependencies addressed in order to deliver compelling client and consumer proposition
• Become an expert on competitive marketing strategy and communication
• Partner with relevant teams to determine how to support testing/amplification of data-led marketing
• Ensure all initiatives are tracked and evaluated with learning incorporated into ongoing recommendations
Develop Campaign Platform and Support Tools
• Develop compelling positioning and communication platform to be adopted/adapted by in-market teams
• Assess and refine elements of communications platform needed to drive greater effectiveness and consistency (e.g. co-marketing guidance, communications mix)
• Develop support tools to enable marketing, sales and product teams to engage with clients and audiences effectively (e.g. sales materials, marketing collateral)
Build Consumer Learning Plan
• Become expert on the target audience through development of ongoing learning plan
• Synthesize learning on determine how this informs our ongoing approach
• Identify gaps in existing learning and partner with Insights team to commission new research as needed
Foster Deep Partnerships
• Partner deeply with global, hub and in-market marketing, product and sales teams to build better approaches and support superior execution
• Develop guidelines/training tools required to support ongoing efforts

Reporting Relationship
Reports to VP Cross Border and Core Product Marketing
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years business experience, with majority in marketing, product marketing – preferably within a global organization
• Track record of success in developing and implementing marketing strategy and execution for global programs and products
• Strong working relationships with and management of external agency partners including B2B
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully in a highly matrixed organization
• Proven ability to partner, communicate and manage/navigate through multiple disciplines and organizational groups
• Experience building Executive Level communications and delivering presentations
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel is required
• BA/BS required. Graduate degree preferred
