POSITION

The Director, Knowledge Management will be responsible for creating our Knowledge Management platform for our investment platform from strategic vision through tactical delivery. The goal of the Knowledge Management function is to improve our ability to access Wellington’s best thinking on a wide range of topics by facilitating easy access to the appropriate content and enhancing our ability to collaborate globally.
The Director, Knowledge Management will create a platform that integrates technology, taxonomy, and content management while leveraging Wellington’s collaborative culture to drive firm wide implementation over time. He/she will develop and manage the deployment of communications and awareness programs intended to increase sharing and collaboration with a primary audience of Wellington’s investment professionals. A guiding principle for the Director, Knowledge Management will be to aid investors in their quest for alpha through access to relevant, timely and consumable content that currently sits in various pockets across the firm. In addition, he/she will create performance metrics and monitor the progress of the Knowledge Management program over the longer-term.
This position will be based in Boston and will report to the Chief Operating Officer, Investments.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• 15+ year track of successfully creating and delivering knowledge management solutions on global platforms;
• Superior organizational skills with a results orientation. The ability to manage, prioritize and complete multiple projects simultaneously is necessary;
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills with ability to articulate and integrate numerous viewpoints and mobilize/influence across firm;
• Ability to navigate stressful situations with poise, focused on being a calming presence, active listener and pragmatic problem solver; and
• Strong academic credentials; MBA preferred.
