The Corporate Vice President, Business Intelligence and Reporting role will oversee data and reporting for New York Life’s Agency business and collaborate with senior leadership to provide analytical support of data-driven decision making. This person will also work closely with key executives and stakeholders in our nationwide system of field offices to deliver essential reporting and data, while providing a vision for enhancing our data and reporting program over time. Responsibilities include:
• Oversee design, creation, and management of all metrics, reports and dashboards
• Collaborate with business leaders and end users to define requirements for new technology and reporting solutions, focused on helping field producers identify opportunities to drive business results
• Lead design and development of an enterprise-quality reporting platform that covers performance and activity reporting for all relevant field and home office users
• Build our Business Intelligence team from the ground up, including recruiting, managing and developing talent and advancing best practices and methodologies for the department overall
• Serve as Product Owner for our Business Intelligence platform and related systems and processes
• Partner with change management and support resources to drive adoption of new BI solutions across the business by identifying findings and presenting recommendations to business leaders on opportunities to drive results and improve decision-making
• Act as data steward for business unit, championing data management, governance, and quality, and leading initiatives to improve processes, controls and standards around our data and its business value
Functional Knowledge:
• Bachelor Degree
• 10+ years experience
• 5+ years in demonstrated leadership roles managing complex reporting and Business Intelligence platforms
• 5+ years of full lifecycle data warehousing experience
• 7-10 years of experience in leading teams (5-10 people) within a complex environment
• Experience with at least one industry-leading business intelligence platforms, such as Qlik, Tableau and DOMO
• Strong technical knowledge of data management systems, data modelling, database design, data quality, and data governance
• Must have significant experience in data warehousing, data visualization, and business intelligence
Problem Solving: Needs to lead design of enterprise-quality reporting for the entire Agency business
Communication Requirements: Needs to influence cross-functionally (business leaders in Agency and the field, data leaders in Technology) in order to drive their agenda

Assets under management represent Consolidated Domestic and International insurance Company Statutory assets (cash and invested assets and separate account assets) and third party assets principally managed by New York Life Investment management Holdings LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company.
