Description
Responsibilities:
• Serve the needs of customers seeking loans or lines of credit either secured or unsecured.
• Interviews loan applicants to develop information concerning their businesses, needs, abilities and earnings to determine whether a loan is an acceptable risk.
• Obtains financial data, analyzes information received, and makes credit checks.
• Makes recommendations on loan decisions and terms to supervising officer.
• Makes loan presentations to loan committee.
• Calls on potential or existing customers to develop new business or service to increase existing business.
• Assist in the collection efforts of commercial loans.
• Meets expectations set for compliance testing related to government banking regulations.
Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate has 10 years’ experience managing a portfolio of commercial banking clients
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Finance, Economics or related quantitative field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of business banking lending credit-related practices, as well as intermediate-to-advanced skill level in spreadsheet and word processing software application;
• Strong aptitude to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem solving situations; and use reason even when dealing with emotional topics;
• Analyze complete and diverse information; collect and research data; use intuition and experience to complement data;
• Exhibit sound and accurate judgment; includes appropriate people in decision making process; and
• Ability to handle multiple projects; communicate changes and progress
