Description
The Delivery Optimization Director is responsible for all auditing, Quality Assurance and life-cycle management for the entire project delivery environment. In addition to managing all the documentation, policies and oversight required to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. This position directly reports to the Head of Governance and Standards, Transformation and Portfolio Delivery Office.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Leads the overall governance processes, focused on delivering enhancements, transformation and simplification of complexity.
• Ensures governance processes are flexible to accommodate large programs and agile methodologies.
• Incorporates effective change and risk management controls.
• Responsible and contributes to the operations governance process and project status review meetings.
• Project consulting by providing troubleshooting and supporting policy alignment.
• Experience in continuous improvement, and organizational change management including methods, techniques and industry leading best practices.
• Supports the adherence to Citizens Bank quality procedures to insure compliance with regulatory and established Enterprise controls.
• Identifies and develops the practices, procedures, policies, work products, templates and tools deemed necessary for enhanced project management techniques.
• Set standards for project delivery, in conjunction with Strategic Portfolio Management, ensuring the projects and initiatives in the plan are delivered to the agreed standards and quality.
• Clearly communicates project management governance to all stakeholders and routinely socializes and updates a prioritized list of improvements and initiatives.
• Demonstrated capacity for strategic thinking, project planning and project management.
• Strong track record of leading complex organizations requiring strong influence management skills.
Customer focused in all interactions, with demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements and incorporate into scalable solutions.
Qualifications
• 15+ year of project and program management experience.
• 10+ years of experience working with governance and PMOs.
• Proven track record of delivering large programs managing end-to-end delivery to time, cost and quality.
• Flexibility to work on technology, change and business process programs.
• Regarded as a delivery expert, providing specialist knowledge and support to project teams to shape business development and resolve business issues.
• In-depth knowledge and proven application of Program and Project Management methodologies and full project lifecycle including documentation standards, risk, issue, assumption and dependency management and change controls process.
• Excellent decision making skills -- ability to negotiate and balance decisions and priorities across needs of several functional departments. Makes timely decisions in the face of risk and uncertainty.
• Familiarity with process modeling, workshop facilitation and business analysis.
• Strong knowledge of the current business operating model and supporting systems / applications including structures and key Citizens processes and procedures.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office applications to include Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word.
• Organizational awareness.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• 15+ years of Project Governance and Project and Program delivery experience.
• Well rounded knowledge of banking products and terminology.
Educational, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Master's Degree highly preferred.
• PMI Certification.
