A Specialized Tax Services Compensation & Benefits (STS C&B) Employment Tax Services Managing Director is responsible for assisting clients with managing employment tax liabilities, minimizing compliance risks, and identifying and recovering overpaid employment taxes. The STS C&B Employment Tax Services Managing Director provides written tax advice to clients, evaluates alternate courses of action to lessen employment tax burden and cost of compliance, and identifies potential changes in employment tax policy and regulations. This role is charged with marketing, networking and business development within an area of expertise and specialization and maintaining key client relationships. The STS C&B Employment Tax Services Managing Director is a critical part of the Tax Services leadership team, and acts as a source for guidance on complex employment tax questions and issues.
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other relevant field required
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or other relevant field preferred
• Juris Doctorate preferred
Experience:
• Ten (10) or more years of prior C&B Employment Tax Services experience required
• Prior experience supervising employment tax professionals on a project or engagement basis required
• Prior experience with corporate taxation preferred
License/Certifications:
• CPA certification or other relevant certification preferred
Software:
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word preferred
• Exposure to and familiarity with standard employment tax applications and research tools preferred

• Solid organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
• Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment

• Capable of effectively managing a team of tax professionals, and delegating work assignments, as needed
• Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel
• Ability to encourage team environment on engagements, and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnel
• Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements
• Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels
• Advanced knowledge of appropriate application of tax standards to ensure effective and efficient delivery of tax services
• Advanced knowledge of sources of relevant information utilized in tax filings
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of cause/effect for taxable conditions on clients and the potential tax issues
