Job Summary:
The position is primarily responsible for supporting the Company's enterprise wide operational risk management framework, especially in relation to Operational Risk Management Department (ORMD) Basel II related activities. Analytical work includes identifying, gathering, analyzing and reporting on ORMD efforts for the Company's AMA program. The reports are distributed to a variety of levels of management, including the executive level, BTMU, and regulators. The position is also responsible for project management work for ORMD projects. Project management includes acting as business project manager, when needed, and tracking and reporting progress on: work efforts, executive milestones, gap assessments.
Major Responsibilities:
• Provide overall project support for all ORMD Basel projects including; PMO status updates, budget tracking, project scorecards, FTE tracking, power point presentations, vendor management, PMO roll-up project plans, review documents/issues prior to manager review, coordinate status reports from project managers.
• Produce the operational risk package for Basel II Working Committee, including milestone reporting and status change documentation.
• Act as liaison for ORMD management team in their Basel II efforts with Basel PMO and Contracts Management Manage and monitor ORMD Basel RCs budget process, including annual and periodic re-forecasts, and monthly BTMU salary allocation reporting. Act as Business Project Manager for ORMD projects, as needed.
• Gather and provide requested documentation for IRMG-Audit and regulatory exams. Assist with implementation requirements of the BASEL Accord capital rules, which will span over several years
• The position is responsible for providing administrative support to the ORMD management team in their Basel efforts.
• This includes preparing and submitting project documentation to the Basel PMO.
• Additional responsibilities will include managing and forecasting the budget for ORMD Basel RCs; gathering and providing information requested by Basel PMO, IRMG-Audit and regulators; tracking and reporting status changes on MRAs, audit issues and providing other support for the Operational Risk Manager as needed.
Qualifications
Additional Information:
Typically requires a BA or BS degree plus at least 8 years in analytical, reporting, project management or risk assessment management positions Requires familiarity with Basel II AMA requirements Requires the ability to analyze risk trends at a macro level, identifying signs of changing risk levels and/or symptoms of process control breakdowns Experience in project management and requires the ability to work independently Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Financial institution experience preferred.
