Sr. HR Reporting Analyst is a key member of the team focused on transforming our overall R Workforce reporting. The primary focus of the role will be on building complex global reports, dashboards, metric, analytics, and scorecards. This role will be responsible for designing and creating a set of reports for Business Leaders and Human Resources utilizing Workday and our HR Data Warehouse. This position will work independently and as a team to develop when necessary to align, revise and publish reports, which meet the needs of multiple constituencies. The role will provide guidance and necessary training to junior team members as it relates to processes and procedures, ad hoc request, and production support.
1. Standardized Reporting
• Build various degrees of advanced reporting in Workday that will provide Business Clients (Managers/Executives), and Human Resources with insights
• Be "advanced" or "expert" in writing Workday reports and building high-performing dashboards, matrix, advanced, and scorecard reporting
• Build and deploy reports & dashboards that replace existing manually created reports
• Partner with our internal HR Clients to provide exemplary internal customer support
• Collaborate with business owners / stakeholders to understand business needs, project specifications.
• Interprets results of analysis, identifies trends and issues, performs data analysis, and develops recommendations to support business objectives.
• Communicates complex information so that it is easy to understand and influences other to take action based on the useful information provided.
• Manage all outstanding requests to ensure all projects are completed on time. Provide regular updates to keep end users informed of progress and issues. Lead special projects as assigned, incorporating standard project management methodologies
• Proactively review reports for trends in activity and provide commentary to end users
• Assist with broadening internal knowledge of Workday Reporting through knowledge transfer
• The opportunity to be a key project team member implementing a Data Warehouse
• Lead the charge creating "predictive" and "prescriptive" reporting
• Incumbent will partner with HR Business Technology Analytics Manager to develop a plan that matches next phase (short-term and long-term goals) with specific technology solutions (Workday / Data Warehouse) to help meet those goals.
• Assist in the review, testing and implementation of Workday upgrades as it pertains to reporting and analytics.
• Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation for our Business Technology Analytics Team as well as internal clients.
2. Client Focus
• Align with HR Business Partners, HR Knowledge Centers and Business Leaders to ensure standard reports are meeting customer needs.
• Acquire operational business knowledge to understand how the information is used and reporting by the business.
• Interact with internal report owners to establish/clarify reporting requirements
• Liaise with our internal colleagues to understand reporting requirements and produce necessary reports
3. Understanding Human Resources and HRMIS
• Gain an understanding on how HR Data Transactions have an impact on reporting. i.e. understand how HR Transactions report on out in reporting and how transactions have an overall impact on reporting output
• Gain an understanding on how effective dating works within reporting.
• Gain an understanding on how to write reporting requirements and finding the appropriate table and field names.
• Gain an understanding on how to find the appropriate tables for reporting on particular data elements.
• Learn how the Human Resources Division functions as a division and how reporting ties into the bigger HR picture.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree, related field or equivalent hands-on experience
• 5-7 years of Human Resource software application experience highly desired
• 2+ years' Workday report writing experience required (
• 2+ years report writing experience with enterprise reporting tools for ERP systems
• Knowledgeable of SQL, XML and XSLT
• Familiarity working with Data Warehouse (i.e. Business Objects / Cognos) highly desired
• Experience with all phases of the systems development lifecycle required
• Familiarity with Tableau desired but not required
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel
• Intermediate working knowledge of MS Access
• Knowledgeable in VISIO and MS Project
• Adept at navigating a complex organization
• Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of HR processes and procedures
• Ability to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity
• Experience with utilizing Clarity or other time tracking tools
• Must have exceptional communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both a technical audience and business users
