The leader will be accountable for the proactive definition, vetting & implementation of custom & packaged technology solutions, as well as the maturation of software development practices. The leader will work directly with the Life Operations Leadership team understanding business objectives, opportunities, providing proactive technology support.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Definition of critical gaps within the Life Technology Landscape & Proposal/Plan to remediate
• Technology road-map definition & ownership ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Definition / Adoption of technology practices within Life IT (Dev/Ops, CI/CD, Cloud etc.)
• Direct participation in Life IT Planning, Budgeting & Prioritization
• Definition & maintenance of Technology Sunset Plan
• Accountable for conformance & alignment with Enterprise and Consumer architecture
• Proof of Technology evaluation for internal/external technology solutions
Position Requirements:
The Ideal Candidate will have:
• 5-10 years in Leadership roles of large Technology Delivery programs/projects
• Track record of delivering large technology implementations of varying complexity
• Hands on experience with systems/software analysis & design
• Demonstrated ability to partner with business and technology leaders to work toward a shared common goal
• Demonstrated ability to aggressively drive for stellar results and improved productivity while increasing team moral, generating excitement and laying out a clear vison and path of execution
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
• 10+ years application development experience including 5 years of experience managing projects and staff preferred
• Previous management with both in-house development teams as well as vendor supported applications.
