The Sr. Director, Product Management, Mortgage is a key role within the Mortgage vertical product team. This individual contributor role is predominantly focused on leveraging/integrating assets from across Equifax to better serve Mortgage vertical needs. The position is highly market/customer driven – and works across the organization leveraging the skills and knowledge of product, pricing, product marketing, sales, market strategy, finance, operations and technology to address market/client needs identified and prioritized through the Mortgage vertical strategy. The role balances short term execution priorities with long term growth strategies.
The Sr. Director, Product Management, Mortgage will work closely with other Mortgage product team members to understand the market, drive customer engagement, define strategic priorities and identify/execute product initiatives that meet market/customer demand (existing product bundles, product enhancements and new product innovation).
Focus:
• Lead NPIs specifically focused on mortgage
• Drive customer engagement that delivers invaluable insights (competitive, VOC, POCs, market testing, etc) for new verification product concepts
• Leverage Equifax enterprise assets to drive new product innovation concepts through implementation and launch
• Support existing mortgage portfolio strategies and priorities
• Identify build, buy, partner scenarios to meet priority objectives (data, analytics, technology, etc)
• Participate in vertical expansion and growth strategy development – including informing growth strategy and corresponding Mortgage/Verifier road map
• Act as key product lead for the mortgage vertical – including weekly vertical marketing, product marketing, product management meetings
The ideal candidate possesses strong product management and leadership experience. Additionally, the candidate has knowledge of the mortgage lifecycle – from market/business intelligence, prospecting/acquisition, origination, servicing/CRM and financial markets.
Additional areas of responsibility include:
• Development of new products
◦ Writes market/business requirements and other documentation
◦ New Product Innovation Toll Gates presentations and Business Cases
◦ Supports value props, product descriptions and use-cases
◦ Drives assigned mortgage product line plan
• Maintenance of existing products
◦ Works with capability product teams for ongoing maintenance / support
◦ Sunset products not meeting market/segment needs and develop transition plans
• Collaborates with other marketing functions (analytics, pricing, product marketing, marketing communication, etc)
• Collaborates across business units and centers of excellence (sales, channel partners, technology, operations)
Qualifications:
• EXPERIENCE: 7-10+ years in related experience/field; 5+ years in a Product Management role within a data and analytics company. Understanding of the customer and product lifecycle of Mortgage Market, preferred.
• EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in marketing or similar field required. M.B.A. preferred or equivalent business experience.
• TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Customer, prospect and partner meetings, team meetings, industry events and conferences: 20%
• EQUIPMENT: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet Explorer. Specifically, expert skills in Excel and Powerpoint. Microsoft Access, iNAV, and Siebel preferred.
