This opportunity is in the Corporate Banking as a Vice President in Global Transactional Banking – Global Corporates.
About Global Corporate
The Global Corporates team is responsible for supporting large global multinational corporations with their banking requirements in Barclays presence countries. In the UK, the Treasury & Subsidiary coverage team supports the UK subsidiaries of US, Asian and European parented clients.
The primary product set consists of cash management , liquidity, trade and working capital finance, asset finance, and foreign exchange. We also bring a range more structured solutions to clients including supply chain finance and non-recourse receivables finance.
We work as one global team, in a fully integrated manner, with relationship directors covering clients both at a parental and subsidiary level. To achieve this end, we have GC teams established in, United Kingdom/Nordic Region, Western Europe (France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, Germany and The Netherlands), Middle East, North America and Asia (and across Africa via BAGL).
Overall purpose of role
We are looking for a (VP) Relationship Director to join our GC Treasury & Subsidiaries (North America Inbound) team based in 1 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London.
As a Relationship Director in Global Corporates you have responsibility for:
• Providing excellent customer service and building deep client relationships
• Managing a portfolio of large Global Corporate clients to maximise sustainable income
• Developing your portfolio through increasing wallet share and winning new business in close conjunction/collaboration with our overseas based, Global Relationship Directors
• Ensuring effective risk management of existing customers and new opportunities
• Establishing and growing a profile as a recognised expert in the appropriate industry/specialism.
Key Accountabilities
Customer Sales & Service
Delivering against financial and customer objectives, by:
• Focusing on our existing customers to provide excellent service and be recognised as a trusted advisor.
• Building and developing KBI networks
• Targeting prospective customers to develop new relationships and win new business
• Working with Marketing to raise profile in the external market
• Embedding true sector specialism for optimum solution delivery
• Working with our overseas based Global Relationship Directors, product partners and the wider Barclays Group to increase wallet share, including delivery of complex product solutions
• Working with credit colleagues to structure solutions
• Adherence to pricing policies for debt, credit balances & money transmission
• Using prioritisation model to ensure regular contact with customers, including strategic annual review, service meetings, complaint resolution, etc.
