Director, ERM Reporting and Framework
Job Details:
The Director, ERM Reporting and Framework support will provide critical support to the OCC and ERM by producing high quality risk reports and own many of the key facets of evidencing a robust risk framework. In this role, you will drive risk analysis & reporting, risk data governance, ERM policies and procedures, the development of risk tools and training and communication. The role will involve close collaboration with SVP, ERM, the team as well as other key OCC stakeholders.
• Support the SVP, ERM in moving the risk framework forward commensurate with the vision and plan agreed by CRO, Management Committee and Board
• Develop and enhance high quality risk analysis and ERM reporting to business units, Management Committee and Board. Meet exacting quality standards and deadlines
• Own and develop ERM risk policies and ensure that the ERM team has supporting documented procedures in place
• Provide evidence that ERM procedures and controls operate
• Work with the team and the broader business to ensure that the risk data used is complete, accurate, timely, relevant and accessible.
• Specify, develop and execute the tools necessary to support ERM and have consideration to a wider GRC vision for the OCC. This may involve the supervision of SMEs
• Meet the data and reporting requests of regulators, auditors, compliance, clients etc.
• Propose, develop and execute communication and risk training programs
• Support Operational Risk modelling
• Will have one or more direct reports
Qualifications/Technical Skills/Education:
• Deep experience of producing high quality enterprise-wide risk reporting to senior management and Board
• Demonstrable evidence of building tools, policies, procedures, training etc. in support of developing a risk management framework subject to high board and regulatory expectations.
• Demonstrable evidence of specifying, designing and delivering risk tools from scratch
• Experience of Operational Risk scenario construction and analysis desirable
• Understanding of securities and derivatives markets is a plus
• Able to act in a consultative manner as a trusted advisor, as well as provide effective challenge
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, and ability and desire to work directly with senior management
• Must be team-oriented and be able to collaborate effectively in department and cross-departmental efforts
• Managerial experience
• Knowledge of ERM best practices within the financial services industry preferred, or knowledge of and familiarity with OCC or Financial Market Utilities
• Experience with eGRC system a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
• 10 years + of relevant, progressive experience in a risk department or management consultancy
