Digital Operational Risk, Wealth Management
The Digital Operational Risk unit is a first line of defense function responsible for overseeing the operational risk and controls of Wealth Management’s new Digital business line. The team partners with management across the Digital business to assess risks and implement control processes. The Vice President position reports to the Business Unit Information Security Officer (BUISO) for the Digital business. The VP is responsible for helping the BUISO to drive the vendor management program, and manage and execute controls and processes that promote the security of client and business data, in partnership with the firm’s functional support areas such as Technology Information Risk (TIR). The VP will take a role in overseeing the risk management of vendors/suppliers and business continuity planning.
The Vice President role in the Digital Operational Risk unit will have the following responsibilities:
Vendor/Supplier Risk Management
• Partner with Digital business leaders to facilitate on-boarding of third party
vendors and suppliers using firm systems and processes, which includes
security architecture and information security reviews
• Coordinate the performance of periodic reviews and risk discussions with third
party
vendors and suppliers
• Review related controls and associated documentation
Information Security Risk Management
• Set, review and monitor Digital employees’ entitlements and access to data
• Understand and implement segregation of duties access rules
• Track and manage data leakage
• Coordinate conformance with privacy policies
• Assess and improve information security policies and procedures
Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
• Develop and maintain BCP plans for Digital business functional recovery and
employee communication in the event of a business disruption
• Participate in the response and recovery effort as needed during a business
disruption, including performing business impact analysis
Qualifications
• At least 5 years of experience in financial services process-setting or risk
management roles, with direct-to-consumer or wealth management experience
preferred
• Demonstrated flexibility in a changing business environment and in dynamically
deploying skills
• Comfort working with business, functional, and risk management stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Self-starter with a can-do approach and delivery focused mind set
• Methodical, detail-oriented, and accurate
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio,
Project)
• Bachelor’s Degree
