Job Summary
MUFG is seeking a Finance Manager to provide financial and analytical support for multiple support groups within the Information Technology division of MUFG, known as Integrated Services of Americas (ISA). The supported organizations include Enterprise Information Security, Office of the CIO and Chief Data Officer. This person will report to the ISA VP of Finance and will be responsible for supporting the annual budget and ongoing forecasting processes through accrual, spend and headcount analyses and guiding the operational groups on all financial matters. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis and the ability to drive financial clarity and discipline in both tactical and strategic decisions.
Key Deliverables
• Assess business purpose of spend by determining value proposition of proposed initiatives with related financial implications
• Support all aspects of financial budgeting and forecasting for areas listed above within MUFG including accrual determination and accounting propriety. Create and establish metrics and reporting structure that provides robust cost transparency to business partners and customers
• Provide thorough analytical support on financial projections, capital investments and business strategies
• Support development of technology service catalog with related product rates used as a basis for allocation of expenses
• Design Fixed vs. Variable model for operational expenses and internal cost transfer
• Manage all aspects of financial analysis for technology projects as part of integrated capital forecasting
Responsibilities
• Responsible for all financial aspects of the following:
• Business Measurement and Reporting - delivers consistent actionable information through a disciplined end to end process for the Infrastructure Technology
• Planning and forecasting - leads development of credible and actionable plans that enable businesses to meet customer associate and shareholder goals
• Strategic Advisor - key advisor for business leaders in setting targets, developing strategy and
• identifying opportunities through visual analytics, evaluating risks, taking actions and making investments
• Financial Performance - focus on financial expertise on recommendations for efficient use of expenses and capital. Ensure integrity in our people and processes
• Process Improvement - streamline and improve existing administrative and data gathering processes
Qualifications
Required Skills
• Strong proven critical thinking, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Accounting or Finance degree
• Advanced Financial modeling skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and across functional groups
Desired Skills
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Over 10 years of Finance and Accounting experience
• Strong bias for action; results oriented with an ability to meet tight deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into tactical plans
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and partner across organizational or functional boundaries with the ability to influence others
• Process focused and team oriented
• Ability to develop strong partnership/team building relationships with business partners
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
