Firmwide Operations includes Shared Services and Banking Operations (SSBO), Operations Risk and Control, Global Project Group and Metrics, Branch Operations and Divisional Management. Shared Service and Banking Operations delivers industry leading operational solutions by aligning the right functions, people, processes and tools into ten core disciplines offering tailored client service levels that are efficient, controlled and compliant with regulation. Our core disciplines include: Asset Servicing, Cash Management, Client Data Management, Global Banking Services, Loans Servicing, Network Management, Payments (Wireless and Disbursements), Reconciliations, Settlements and Tax Operations. Operations Risk and Control ensure adequate controls are in place, through providing an integrated risk and control framework to govern, assess, mitigate and manage financial and operational risk in Operations.
The Regional Material Service Entities (MSEs) Oversight Lead is responsible for the execution of governance and oversight requirements for the Regional network of MSEs. The Regional lead will perform key oversight and liaison roles to ensure equitable disbursements of services provided by the MSE network. The Regional MSE Governance Oversight Lead's responsibilities and duties can cover a broad spectrum of activities through engagement with Ops stakeholders and board members. These can include:
MSE Oversight:
• Maintaining the corporate structure, including subsidiaries and associated administration.
• Advising the board (or governing body) on corporate governance principles and the implementation of governance programs and driving the expected frameworks.
• Monitoring compliance by management with standing delegations from the board (or governing body) and reporting any breaches.
• Support regional MSE Boards and Secretary to Operating Company's function, including but not limited to, assisting with and managing activities associated with board and committee meetings, preparing board presentations, recording and reporting meeting minutes, advising committee chairs on terms of reference requirements, assisting committee chairs in setting agenda items.
• Ensuring corporate accountability by communicating with the Organization's stakeholders and broader community.
• Ensuring effective information flows within the board (or governing body) and with and between board committees, and between non-executive directors and management.
• Manage the coordination and production of monthly reporting packs for regional MSEs (some elements will be quarterly). Assist with quality control check for all Board and Committee document productions, including identifying all documents required, creating document lists, obtaining such documents, ensuring that the document sets are correctly and accurately compiled and ensuring accurate distribution to senior management and to the Board and Committees.
• Provide support to regional MSE OpCo to ensure continued conformance with the Service Company Principles.
• Fully abreast of the regional outsourcing requirements and Global Outsourcing and Sourcing program, leverages incident reporting by Support and Control Functions (SCFs) in line with revised inter-affiliate risk reporting requirements as such incidents may impair or impact performance of the SCF to MOE(s) they support.
• Act as a conduit in CRT process to oversee change requests impacting the MSEs and operational continuity.
Regional Oversight leads will act as centralized liaisons for the following groups:
• SCF contacts in support of incident management and oversight.
• Act as a Liason with ORD Outsourcing and Supplier Management teams as well as BU vendor management offices as appropriate.
• GWS and GIC COOs for MSE related matters.
• FCG to create financial reporting packets.
• Corporate Legal on board reporting/corporate governance matters.
Resolution:
• Act as regional contacts for SCFs on RRP matters.
• Provide input to resolution criticality assessments, SCF resource packs and shared services playbooks (assumes RRP Central facilitates plan refreshes and HR, Corporate Services / facilities and Vendor Continuity; playbooks are currently all supported by ServCo team).
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years managing a team in the Financial Services Industry
• Significant experience in the Regulatory space
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Highly organized
