Team Profile:
The Algorithmic Trading Services group is responsible for building and deploying electronic trading strategies for Equities and Listed Derivatives globally (including benchmark execution, liquidity seeking, and crossing). We utilize systematic, evidence based approaches to understand how the markets work and put those ideas in action. The team is focused on Software Development, Data analysis and large scale plant management but also spans the disciplines of finance, econometrics, statistics, mathematics, with many team members that are versed in multiple areas and partners that are experts in these areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
We are seeking a talented developer to join our Algorithmic Java Development team. The candidate will work closely with the quant team, desk strategists and business partners to implement new ideas within the trading platform. He or she will be responsible for developing, testing and deploying new strategies and algorithms. He or she will also be responsible for changes to trading environment, efficient testing practices, developing tools to help better manage the plant, and manage plant capacity and scalability. The candidate should have strong technical skills and interest and experience in the electronic / algorithmic trading space. We are looking to hire highly talented, creative individuals who are hardworking and are enthusiastic about making a contribution to an already successful team in an intellectually challenging environment.
Qualifications
Required skills:
• Strong Java development experience
• Experience in Java performance optimization
• Experience with large scale real time trading environment
• Experience in testing tools/frameworks, e.g. Junit, and testing practices
• Linux/Unix
• Scripting (Perl or Python)
• Databases / SQL / KDB
• FIX protocol
• Good communication skills
• Team player
