Job Summary:
The Entertainment Finance team is seeking a Vice President level candidate to join our team in a role that is an integral part of our US Wholesale Banking (USWB) group. This position will work directly with Relationship Managers and the product areas supporting client activity. The candidate needs to have had historical experience in developing marketing materials as well as having had direct client contact. The incumbent has the responsibility to act as the secondary banker on major customer relationships and to perform the functions of business origination and business origination support for team Managing Directors (MD). As part of a defined business strategy, this role regularly supports the origination of our full range of products, including traditional credit products based on client requirements.
Major Responsibilities:
• Act as the secondary or primary point of customer contact handling all aspects of client relationship with the exception of negotiation of pricing or complex structures.
• Handle execution of operational aspects of business origination as directed by MDs, such as analyzing portfolio profitability, performing all follow-through of any deal origination process, preparing economic capital analysis, and managing customer intensive processes.
• Preparation of periodic client revenue and profitability reports and forecasts as well as ongoing, active management of pipeline activity, including pipeline reporting.
• Manage product group liaison to assist in structuring of deals.
• Proactively manage in-depth and up-to-the-minute knowledge of market trends, customer developments and credit issues.
• Conduct due diligence on proposed client deals as required and creation of management transaction/deal memos.
• Ongoing detailed and accurate monitoring of assigned portfolio to assess credit quality and trends.
• Collaborate with junior staff members and portfolio maintenance group to ensure timely and accurate completion of reviews and credit actions.
• Oversee junior team members responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed monitoring of collateral worksheets and disbursement histories, and ensure risk ratings are appropriate during quarterly reviews.
• Accurately identify and mitigate exceptions to credit policy and underwriting guidelines.
• Identify, market and close cross-sell opportunities to deepen client relationships.
• Provide superior customer service through relationship management.
• If you are a CIB staff who is a registered representative, you are expected to refer business to BTMUS.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of corporate banking experience in US and international market place.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong financial aptitude and broad analytical ability.
• Excellent oral and written communications kills including excellent business writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Knowledge of domestic and foreign financial markets and products, including nonbanking financial institutions.
