Head of Originations (ABL) Asset Based Lending, Managing Director

Job Summary:
Overall management responsibility for provision of high quality ABL credit origination. Plays a key role in balancing asset growth with credit quality as part of achieving division's financial objectives. Reports directly to the MD, Head of Asset Based Finance, Americas.
Major Responsibilities:
• Manages ABL Credit Origination within a team structure
• Build relationships with financial counter-parties within the ABF Market
• Established customer relationships with an emphasis on Mid and Large Corporates where capital markets activity is prevalent
• Participate in the review of credit memorandums for annual reviews, quarterly reporting for risk ratings, problem loan reports, watch list reports, etc.
• Work closely with collateral management to make sure that borrowing base information is accurate.
• Communicate frequently with customers or agent banks
• Build relationships with borrowers by being proactive and extremely responsive
• Work closely with RM’s to support customer needs.
Qualifications
We require:
• Typically requires a minimum of B.A. or B.S.
• Typically requires a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the ABL/ABF markets
• Strong credit skills and the ability to structure potential transactions in ABF
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship development and selling skills
• Outstanding communication skills
• Significant experience leading and participating in underwriting of direct and agent transactions within bank's target market
• Demonstrated ability to create credit structures, rapidly complete complex credit analysis, negotiate and close complete asset based credit transactions, often involving multiple providers of debt and capital
• Satisfactory team leadership skills, willingness to both lead and participate in deal teams
• Proficiency in relevant PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Internet and other relevant software programs
