GBSC Director, Analytics & Automation
Overview:
Purpose of the Team
• The GBSC Analytics & Automation team is built upon strong contributors with leadership abilities, innovative mindsets and variety of technical skills.
• The group acts as an idea incubators supporting the Share Services Organization initiatives by providing in depth analysis and strategic guidance.
Purpose of the Director of Analytics & Automation
• Manage analytics projects: leverage data to answer important business questions, innovates with applications ideas and techniques to use and communicate data in new and more effective ways for influencing business decisions, encouraging long-term customer engagement, efficient processes, and any other possible uses.
• Lead medium-sized project/initiatives with advanced knowledge within discipline, leading a segment of several initiatives or a larger initiative.
• Advance analytics capabilities by bringing know-how experience on applying statistical analysis to business challenges
• Produce documents and presentations for communicating innovations, ideas, or discoveries.

Role:
• Build and lead a motivated, innovative and productive team that creates next generation analytics to the shared services center
• Work closely with finance functions team and internal customers to identify short-term and long-term objective alignment to create service roadmaps
• Responsible for providing metrics to support Operations and the global organization
• Generate ideas to continuously improve the analytics and reporting services delivered
• Build an infrastructure to enable effectively working with large sets of unstructured and structured data.
All About You:
Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
• Ability to manage a team and proven experience in managing a cross-functional team
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner with both technical and non-technical customers.
• Ability to present analysis via strong Visualization
• Strong hands-on creative capabilities in coding and implementing analytics on Tableau/Alteryx or equivalent
• Proficient knowledge of advanced statistical analysis and data mining methodologies
Desirable or additional capabilities:
• Knowledge in statistics and machine learning would be highly beneficial: The candidate should have a strong developed mentality with a focus on measuring and metrics
• Background in ETL. Practical experience dealing with large ETL pipelines is a plus.
Basic SQL knowledge a must. Advanced SQL experience preferred
