Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions Group for Prudential Financial Inc. - this group, reporting directly to Prudential's Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for the acquisition and divestiture activities across all of Prudential's businesses, including insurance and asset management, in the United States and abroad. Since its inception in the late 1990's, the group has closed more than 70 transactions with aggregate value in excess of $15 billion. The group is also responsible for sourcing acquisitions as well as select strategic analyses.
A transaction-based position with a significant amount of international activity. · Develop the valuation for potential acquisitions and divestitures. · Model pro forma scenarios associated with potential acquisitions and divestitures. Perform cash flow and return analysis. · Work with legal and tax counsel to structure acquisitions and draft proposals and bid letters. · Conduct and coordinate due diligence. · Source and research prospective acquisition candidates and present findings to senior management.· Other select strategic analyses.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.
• Seven or more years of transaction-related experience, including a significant amount of M&A transactions, preferably at an investment bank.
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• Experience with the various legal, tax and other issues common to transactions.
• Financial institutions industry experience is a plus, but is not required
