Equifax is searching for a U.S. Product Manager for our Debt Management products; including the Infinnix CyberFinancial Debt Management Platform, our Managed Services offering, as well as our FirstSearch Skip Locate solution.
The U.S. Product Manager will collect requirements in support of the U.S. market, and will maintain a U.S. plan and product roadmap. This position will be based in Atlanta, GA.
The candidate should have experience with product management and managing business-to-business products as well as with software platforms. Responsibilities will be focused on defining the U.S. product requirements for our Debt Management products, working closely with the development team on product delivery, with the sales and marketing teams in the U.S. to launch and support new products; and working with the customer base in answering questions and providing product details.
Experience should include:
• Experience in product management, technology product management or working with software technology -related products and services.
• Working knowledge of business to business software platforms
• Understanding of the basic concepts of product management, product development and product delivery.
• Industry experience working in a debt management-related business area is a plus.
• Experience at an information-based company is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
• Achieves revenue and market share targets defined in fiscal year plans for products in area of responsibility.
• Leads efforts in developing product and product line strategies, directions and recommendations as input to overall company planning process. Works with industry consultants to identify and establish appropriate product markets for short and long-term investment.
• Oversees analysis of current and future markets, technology and competitive trends to support strategy, and product development.
• Drives product life cycle analysis and determines life cycle position and value to company.
• Drives strategy and product plans based on results. Develops business plans and product line plans based on life cycle and market analysis, historical financial performance and competitive analysis. Works with Accounting/Finance, providing input to analysis regarding return on investment and profitability analysis.
• Provides business planning guidance and counsel to senior management to support overall company objectives and communicates with other internal groups including engineering, technical communications, corporate communications, and customer service regarding product and market planning.
• Provides input to marketing regarding positioning for products and product lines, pricing, packaging, and product placement.
• Supports sales force by providing current information on product developments and competitive market positioning.
• Stays current with industry and market trends. Attends user group meetings, trade shows, and seminars as required to support product marketing programs.
• Stays current on regulatory changes that impact our Debt Management products and determines our go forward strategies to address these changes.
Other requirements:
• Bachelors degree in a related field
• 4 – 9 years of progressive, related work experience in product management is preferred, otherwise expertise in product development, technology solution implementation or as a business analyst for a related type of product
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with peers, managers, and senior management within and across organizational lines.
• Demonstrated abilities interacting with technical, business and executive personnel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as, strong product planning skills
• Adjust well to changing situations (e.g., different management styles, new methods, systems and procedures) and priorities within the business and the marketplace
• Experience working directly with customers, technology vendors and business partners
