Director, Push Payments Strategy and Partnerships
Overview
• The Digital Payments and Labs (DP&L) Product Management organization leads the company in innovating payment products and services using new technologies, channels and customer segments. DP&L Product Management leads the development and deployment of MasterCard products and services to the market and holds direct accountability for the end-to-end customer experience in the lifecycle of the product and the customers. This includes dynamic consultation and management of both business and technical facets for Product Management and leading both internal and external partners towards successful execution.
• Mastercard Send is a first-of-its-kind service that facilitates the delivery of funds to and from virtually any U.S. debit card account, typically within seconds. Mastercard Send supports multiple lines of business, including disbursements and person-to-person payments. Mastercard Send aims to lead the digital revolution and position Mastercard to digitize domestic and cross border push payments
• The Director, Push Payments Strategy and Partnerships, is responsible for developing the go-to-market strategy for scaling Mastercard Send globally via the development of key strategic partnerships, including Financial Institutions, Acquirers, and Industry Service Providers.
Role
• Define the go-to-market strategy for scaling Mastercard Send globally via the development of key strategic partnerships, including Financial Institutions, Acquirers, and Industry Service Providers (for domestic P2P, disbursements, and other domestic push payments use cases).
• Identify, prioritize, and pursue key long-term partnership prospects. Secure 2-3 key partners in 2017.
• Develop a global pricing approach in partnership with regions and market development teams.
• Collaborate closely with market development account leads through the sales and implementation cycle, including partnership financial models and deal constructs.
• Actively collaborate with prospective partners to refine – as needed – use cases, economic/financial models, and user experience payment flows.
• Align technical resources to strategic partner objectives to drive drive short and long term success for Mastercard Send.
• Closely collaborate with the cross border team to identify partners and customers of mutual interest. Develop a reach strategy that includes platform, pricing and other considerations.
• Identify technology and solution providers that could enhance the MA Send platform for potential M&A or partnership
• Provide thought leadership and serve as the product business subject matter expert in discussions with potential partners.
• Identify new use cases as appropriate to secure partnerships or to seed local markets.

• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with external customers / partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Significant experience in Payments Industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
