Position Description Overview
The successful applicant for this role will be one of 4 directors leading the North American SMB Underwriting team. We are looking for an individual with extensive operational experience, having led teams in a fast paced and service driven environment, with proven ability to make quick and well-reasoned decisions under pressure
Job Responsibilities
• The capacity to communicate effectively at senior levels is key, as there will be regular engagement with, and presentations to, Senior Management and Partner Banks on performance and strategic priorities.
• Collaboration with other areas to deliver against business growth objectives will be essential, and this will involve support for new products, systems and customer focused processes.
• Process reengineering experience will be key as we move the business forward into a new era of growth.
• Establishing, maintaining and delivering against customer centric SLA's is a fundamental part of the role, as is continuous assessment of performance results, processes, systems, quality, controls and policy compliance to maximise effectiveness and efficiency
Scope of Job
6+ years Operations leadership experience, preferably in a Risk Management environment. 4 Year College Degree - MBA preferred. Honed Financial Analysis skills. Working knowledge of Visa, MasterCard, Discover & American Express policies and procedures. Forecasting Skills, with process reengineering experience. Able to identify and articulate solutions for current Fraud & Credit Trends. Innovative with creative problem solving skills.
Job Requirements
• Prior leadership experience in a Risk environment would be preferred, as financial analysis, assessment of risk exposure and validation of business propositions is an integral part of the role, to minimise Credit and Fraud losses.
