OUR IMPACT
The Surveillance Analytics team is part of Compliance Surveillance Strategies Group (CSSG) within Compliance Division and is responsible for:
• Designing and developing complex, profile based, surveillances with a strong emphasis on analytical models
• Developing quantitative solutions for key risks for compliance divisions across the firm (Global Surveillance, Securities division, Asset Management , and Investment Research)
• Leading global compliance initiatives focused on business process restructuring
The group works closely with Compliance Senior Management, Compliance Officers, Business and Technology organisations to define, prioritise and lead various initiatives.
HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL
• Work with project sponsors to define and actively manage project scope, plan, resource, budget, timeline, deliverables and dependencies
• Communicate with key stakeholders on progress of the project
• Analyse and document surveillance and business issues and develop creative solutions
• Work with surveillance managers and quantitative experts to design surveillance across all product types such as equity, fixed income, credit derivatives and structured (candidate does not necessarily need to be able to build statistical models)
• Define criteria for technology automations, write detail technology specifications and work with Technology and Compliance teams to implement final solutions
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Strong academic record with minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related discipline required
• Prior experience gained from working in Compliance within Investment Banks required
• Must have experience of evaluating risks in established automated trading business flows
• Knowledge of automated trading, trading algorithms, control design and governance, Dark Pools and Order Book Analysis required
• Experience of performing evidence verification for controls required
• Must have experience of working as part of a global team
• Strong knowledge of financial industry required
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, quick learning ability required
• Must work well in a team but also demonstrate strong leadership
• Ability to manage client expectations and competing priorities required
• Must have resilience and the ability to work well under pressure
• Excellence communication skills (verbal and written) required
