Responsibilities:
The Client Services department at Oaktree is responsible for delivering excellence in responding to investor requests that come into the firm either via investors directly or through their Oaktree marketing representatives. This client services professional will be aligned to specific Asia-Pacific country coverage teams, including but not limited to our South Korea coverage team, and will serve as the central point of contact for all related client inquiries, and partner with Oaktree’s country-specific Marketing representatives as well as all Oaktree departments, including Product Management, Portfolio Analysis & Reporting, Diligence Services, Legal, Compliance, Accounting and Portfolio Management to quarterback investor needs throughout the firm.
Client Inquiry Management
• Serve as the lead point of contact in responding to client inquiries and requests: Specifically with regards to the management of client inquiries, he/she will:
◦ Receive investor requests (either received from a Marketing Rep or directly from investors)
◦ Evaluate requests against established disclosure/compliance rules
◦ Lead evaluated investor requests through resolution
# Understand Oaktree’s products and operational structure as well as the overall sales objective to be able to draft responses to inquiries where appropriate (i.e., information is available through self-service mechanisms)
# Where information is not readily available, coordinate with the appropriate internal resources (e.g., Client Services and Diligence Services colleagues, Portfolio Analysis & Reporting, Accounting) to respond to investor requests
• Develop working relationships with operating and investment functions at investor organizations; gain an understanding of how an investor operates and their investment objectives in order to better service them and position Oaktree’s capabilities
• Prepare client service materials which may include investment overviews and statistical analyses
• Stay current on regulatory changes that may impact client servicing (e.g. Dodd-Frank, EMIR, FATCA, etc.)
Client Meeting Management
• Assist in the preparation of client reviews and other client meetings through preparing agendas, notices, and logistics
• Host client review meetings and conduct meeting follow-up as appropriate
Materials Creation and Management
• Translate and localize marketing and due diligence materials either serving as the primary translator or reviewing the translation of others. Materials may include memos/white papers, pitch books, legal documents (PPM, prospectus, LPA, etc.), RFPs, factsheets, biographies and custom presentations
• Selectively custom create, as needed and in compliance with local laws and regulations, new materials and collateral that specifically address the needs or requirements of Korean clients, primarily leveraging existing marketing and service content and materials.
Qualifications:
• 3-8 years experience, preferably within the financial services or consulting industrie
• Solid foundation in investment finance concepts and ability to acquire thorough knowledge of the legal, accounting, compliance and investment aspects of all alternative investment products offered by Oaktree
• Highly resourceful; ability to exercise superior judgment regarding investor requests: to interpret them, ask appropriate questions, do homework, and only expend internal resources of the firm for the most relevant, needed situations
• Ability to interact directly with clients. Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proven ability to prioritize and execute multiple workstreams while maintaining the highest quality standards; exceptional organizational skills
• SFC Paper 1, or ability to acquire licenses in a compressed timeframe

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree is required. (major in Finance, Business, Marketing or related field preferred).
