What is the opportunity?
In support of the US Head of CCAR Internal Audit, as a Director, you will provide independent objective risk assessment and evaluation of the effectiveness of risk management practices, internal controls and corporate governance processes for U.S. based businesses. Additionally you will work with management in achieving business objectives by identifying process/controls gaps and/or process enhancement opportunities, while remaining objective and independent. Your results will ultimately impact shareholders, employees and customers.
What will you do?
• Manage staff assigned to the engagement and review audit work for sufficient scope and accuracy.
• Draft the audit plan that ensures adequate coverage of all risks to permit the issuance of an overall opinion on internal controls and Risk Management practices to senior management.
• Maintain effective working relationship with key stakeholders ensuring they receive maximum value from our engagement work.
• Effect change by assisting management to develop appropriate action plans to address identified deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner to effectively address the issues.
• Keep abreast of organizational, regulatory, product, strategic and financial changes and/or trends impacting assigned business platform.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
• 10 years Financial Services experience (US focus) with at least 7 years in Audit senior roles.
• In-depth knowledge of capital planning, stress testing and regulatory reporting.
• Knowledge of capital markets businesses and functions – specifically risk management, operations or product control.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and International Accounting Standards, complex accounting, and auditing standards.
• Proven management experience with strong Project Management skills
• BA/BS
Nice-to-have
• Credit, Market, Liquidity, Operational and/or model risk management experience.
• Big “Four” Accountancy experience
• CPA
