What is the opportunity?
The Associate Director of US Finance Risk and Control will be responsible for the governance and assurance processes over the control framework in place for the HOLDCO over the regulatory reports FRY-14A, M and Q. The Associate Director will report to the Head of US Finance Risk and Control Function
What will you do?
• Assist in establishing and monitoring appropriate attestation controls for all CCAR reporting.
• Assess and monitor key risk indicators for preparation of FRY-14A, M, and Q, i.e., a SOX like governance framework, for the financial statement production and regulatory filings for these reports. This includes conformance testing to ensure that the identified key risk controls are in place.
• Identify regulatory reporting risk and validating that appropriate controls are in place to ensure completeness and accuracy of all regulatory reports produced by the CCAR team. This includes conformance testing of these controls and advisory on control improvements that are required.
• Assure that regulatory rules across all CCAR reports are properly interpreted and approved by appropriate level of management and that these rules have been adopted into the regulatory reporting process. This includes regular review of the returns being produced by Risk / Finance and other functions and traceability exercises conducted to the regulatory rules and policies issued.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
• 8yrs + experience in Finance with focus on US financial and regulatory reporting, risk and control or Internal Audit - CPA and Bachelor's Degree
• Experience in an investment bank finance environment.
• Passion and understanding of US regulatory reporting environment.
• Results orientated and a team player / relationship builder – high degree of personal impact.
• Strong control orientated / presentation and communication skills
• Ability to influence senior management and advance change across an organization
