The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting FCG, along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans and forecasts the organization's financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups, and Valuation Review.

Financial Analysts
to our Budapest office
We are looking for applicants who are keen to start their career in Finance as part of a global financial services firm.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Monthly Accruals and Month-End Closing
- Account Analysis & Variance Explanations
- Budget and Trend Analysis
- Reconciliation /Reporting
- Invoice Payment and Reconciliation
- Production of Finance and Research expense reports and analysis
- Recording and monitoring accruals
- Assisting with client reporting & analysis
- Expense management, general accounting, allocations reporting
- Controlling tasks
- Production of the monthly mark review to ensure positions are marked correctly in the firm’s books and records
- Gaining a full understanding of financial products subject to valuation in the group and the relevant marking methodologies
- Developing and standardising the existing Mark Review processes
- Regular contact with Business Unit Controllers, particularly during the month end mark review process
- Liaising with global finance teams regarding specific issues
- Preparing reports and documents for senior management and the Business Units
- Preparation of reconciliations between the firm’s books and records and the underlying positions
- Ad-hoc projects
Qualifications
Skills Required
- Completed bachelor or master degree in Economics and availability to work full time (8 hours a day)
- 0-3 years experience related to finance or accounting
- Basic knowledge of finance or accounting concepts, processes
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Accuracy, attention to detail, good organisation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, and/or other relevant applications
Skills Desired
- Knowledge of financial markets and financial instruments
- Strong mathematical background
