Position Title: Business Banking Sales Manager
Department: Business Banking Sales
Grade: 16
Position Summary:The Business Banking Sales Manager, will direct and coach activities and behaviors that generate top results in Business loan growth, deposit growth and bank profitability. The Business Banking Sales Manager is a high energy, forward-looking strategic thinker who supports the achievement of Business Banking expectations, while cultivating a collaborative, team-oriented approach to deliver these results.
Major Responsibilities:
• Management responsibilities for a group of Business Relationship Managers (portfolio approx. <$15mm).
• Direct, coach and train individually and in teams, activities to generate business acquisition and expansion results.
• Works with sales team to recognize gaps in effectiveness and participation and uses this information to recommend and develop specific programs to improve the necessary skills, tools, and resources.
• Assist Business Banking Sales Manager and Cash Management Sales Manager with the development of departmental strategy and marketing.
• Closely partners with Retail Banking, Merchant Services and TC Advisors to maximize sales opportunities of the Business Sales team.
• Support Team TRICO principles including participation in Retail and Commercial Banking meetings and/or initiatives.
• Assists in any other areas as assigned; reports to Department Manager - Business Banking Sales.
Other Responsibilities:
• Proven leader in sales with recent, solid experience in a relationship management channel preferably in business banking.
• Strong leadership skills - the ability to coach and motivate a team.
• Strong ability to translate strategy into action.
• Maintains a current understanding of Bank Credit Guidelines and Procedures.
• Maintains a current understanding of regulations including but not limited to Reg. B, Fair Lending, Reg Z, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA/AML) OFAC compliance, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Information Security, Identity Theft Red Flags, Community Reinvestment Act and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA).
• Maintains an awareness of competitive products, practices, rates and changes in market area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Participates in civic and community organizations as appropriate.
• This position requires travel 70-80% of the time.
Education, Experience, And Other Skills Required:
• High school diploma or GED required, undergraduate degree and/or graduate degree in Business preferred.
• Previous sales management experience, five years business banking, traditional or in-store branch management experience required.
• Proven relationship management channel experience such as business banking.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Effective influencing skills, with the ability to lead self, lead others, and lead the business.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to complete a high volume of work with accuracy.
• Business acumen and ability to analyze financial documents.
