Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Global Specialty, the Senior Marketing Communications Specialist will help execute on measurable marketing programs and tactics and support the development of compelling, informative content to promote and differentiate Global Specialty’s product and service solutions in the market and drive business growth.
Our ideal candidate is a highly organized, self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude and exceptional attention to detail. Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines, build relationships with contacts across the marketing team and other organizations as necessary, and effectively evaluate and prioritize requests.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Partner with Global Specialty business teams to help develop and execute on marketing initiatives, content and materials. Serve as the Global Specialty liaison with internal Centers-of-Excellence to marshal marketing materials through the development process: open project requests in internal tracking system, provide status updates, and coordinate approvals across marketing team, business areas, legal/compliance and other organizations as needed to ensure high-quality finished work products.
• Assist with the development of brand-approved internal and external communications, for both traditional and digital channels, including web, intranet, social media and blog content; sales tools, educational/thought leadership content and articles; emails and announcements, marketing brochures and factsheets, presentations and talking points.
• Assist in the ongoing maintenance of internal and external digital libraries of marketing collateral to ensure content remains current.
• Coordinate the collection of content for the Global Specialty electronic newsletter for agents/brokers and customers, coordinate messaging for the internal electronic newsletter for the field organization, and manage the posting of internal announcements and content on the Global Specialty SharePoint site.
• Develop presentation materials in partnership with CMCO and other business partners as needed to support large-scale agent/broker meetings.
• Manage department expenses, working with CMCO to monitor monthly spend and reports with finance and marketing teams to ensure accuracy and on-target reconciliation. Manage invoicing process, create scopes of work (SOW) and/or purchase orders.
• Other marketing project work as necessary.
Qualifications
• Four-year degree required in journalism, communications, marketing or similar.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Extremely organized with strong attention to detail
• Team player - easily collaborates with others to deliver results
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, professional environment under tight deadlines
• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills; ability to identify solutions
• Flexible – can easily pivot to address competing priorities and reprioritize workload as needed to achieve goals and deliver on deadline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Expertise in Microsoft Office PowerPoint, experience with Excel.
• Experience using SharePoint a plus.
• Writing and presentation samples required.
