Overall Purpose of Job:As a Marketing Officer (MO), you are primarily responsible for achieving the individually assigned corporate banking gross profit goal, as well as adding to JCB(Midwest)’s overall corporate banking team goals. You will provide support to account Relationship Managers (RMs) through presentations and product demonstrations. You will also provide support for prospective customers, to initiate successful relationships. You will travel about 30% of the time, including overnight business trips.

Responsibilities Include:
• Actively marketing and/or assisting RMs in promoting products and services offered by JCB, with the intent of growing revenue.
• You will build and present pricing and proposals.
• Securing agreements and documentation for customer.
• Follow up on leads and prospects.
• Make regular contact with established customers strengthening relationships and discovering new product opportunities.
• Provide marketing and operational supports to RMs and Senior MOs
• Monitoring client activities analyzing portfolio profitability
• Recognizing client needs, promoting BTMU’s services to the clients, building call memo and other documents.
• Investigation and acting as liaison between Client Services Department (CSD) of JCB(Midwest) and Middle Office of ISA for any operational matters.
• Make recommendations for business opportunities to Department Heads and management, and conducts due diligence on proposal to clients.
• Support RMs and Senior MOs by acting as liaison between PM (Portfolio Manager) and Product Office in NY and Primary Office in Japan and other departments to cross-sell bank products and services:
◦ This includes actively identifying transaction opportunities, marketing each product to identified clients, negotiating the terms and conditions, and executing and documenting the transactions.
◦ Cross-sell products will include derivatives, capital markets activities, foreign exchange, mergers and acquisitions, leasing, securitization, syndications, structured and trade finance, and cash management activities.
• Prepare reports including customer call reports and pipeline reports as directed by management.
• Ensure adherence to all bank policies and procedures relative to Regulatory Compliance, this includes:
◦ The Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, Privacy Act, Regulations Q& X, Customer identification Program, Know Your Customer, and Suspicious Activity Reports.
• Other duties and project as assigned by manager.
Qualifications

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Economics or equivalent work experience, a CFA is preferred
• Your experience includes at least 1 year of client facing banking experience in financial industry and/or corporate credit experience.
• You possess a basic knowledge of business and finance practices, international banking transactions, lending regulations & procedures, and marketing strategies.
• You have strong people skills, financial aptitude and a broad analytical ability.
• You are bilingual, English & Japanese, with well-developed communication skills.
