Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Vice President, Securities Settlements in Baltimore, Maryland
Drive a portfolio of change initiatives by partnering with technology and the business to define a strategy and execute initiatives. Run change the bank (CTB) initiatives that have a variety of purposes, including reacting to regulatory changes in the financial industry, developing leaner operational processes, and developing a stricter risk control environment. Responsible for project management disciplines such as delivery, risk/issue, financial, and resource management, as well as systems development lifecycle activities such as Scoping, Business Analysis, Testing, and Data Migration. Identify complex risks early and develop actionable mitigation plans. Use objective data to drive strategic recommendations. Create practical and comprehensive implementation plans and partner with all levels of management and stakeholders to gain consensus. Coordinate multiple projects and engagements and their associated budgets. Foster and develop strong working relationships with business and IT counterparts.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as an Analyst, Associate, Director, or related occupation in the financial services industry. Will accept seven (7) years of experience in the position offered or seven (7) years of experience as an Analyst, Associate, Director, or related occupation in the financial services industry in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience. Requires five (5) years of experience with Global Security Settlements processes including market nuances and rules across global settlement markets; client asset protection rules; impact of changes in relation to market regulations; position management processes; settlement matching processes; and how settlement security and cash reconciliation effects books and records. Requires three (3) years of experience with: project delivery including project planning and prioritization; business data analysis; return on investment/benefit management; preparing presentations and presenting to senior management; and Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
