REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager of Marketing Strategy

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Intern-Customer Insights & Marketing Strategy position will be focused on gaining learning & knowledge on how primary and secondary research inform successful short and long term marketing strategies. The intern will report into the Sr. Manager of Marketing Strategy but will also work closely with the broader Customer Insights & Strategy team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Develop a custom insights study (topic TBD) that builds into/ informs a marketing strategy.
•Experience the Summer 2019 Marketing Hindsight process, including cross-functional marketing coordination.
•Assist in development of the Spring + Summer 2020 marketing plans.
•Track key competitor’s social media presence & promotional activity.
•Additional projects will be assigned as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Junior at a 4-year college or university with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
•High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Demonstrated collaborative skills, desire to learn and ability to work well within a team
•Innate curiosity for what makes people think / act
•Strategic thinker with ability to envision the role of various marketing channels in achieving customer/marketing goals
