[80% of time dedicated] Responsible for omni-channel concept, design and production of all of Carters exclusive brands. This includes Just One You at Target, Child of Mine at Walmart, Simple Joys on Amazon, Precious Firsts in various wholesale and international accounts and our 100% organic product line, Little Planet.
• Establish and maintain brand typography and design standards as well as supervise and execute design solutions for branding, global packaging, on-figure and laydown photography concepts, presentations, new product launches, rebrands and layouts for in-store, print, digital and social media, when applicable.
• Be a design manager for all brands and keep up-to-date style guides and identity systems to share with external licenses. Supervise and approve all global packaging and marketing solutions when needed.
• Develop any and all brand marketing collateral that will support needs across channels.
• Explore graphic treatments and design elements needed to build a brand asset library of graphic elements.
• Must manage projects and present to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner. Strong presentation skills in both visual and verbal presentation are a must.
• Partner with all cross-functional partners and build internal and external relationships to run all exclusive brands, including product design, merchandising, marketing, sales, product development and sourcing.
• Present concepts to Creative Director, design and implement approved concepts through creation of final art for production.
[20% of time dedicated] Assist Creative Director on all lifestyle photoshoots for exclusive brands.
• Provide support in casting, building shots lists, overseeing the styling, lighting and final retouching of all campaign assets for our brands as well as on-figure product shots for selling uploaded to our accounts websites.
• Oversee the Art Direction for all editorial laydown photography for the brands.
• Work closely with Creative Marketing production team for all retouching and final execution of all creative needs.
• Build a library of swipe and mood boards to pull for all needed projects.
• Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects within specific deadline and creative parameters. Know how to think indepenedently and problem solve.
• Communicate all brand standards and design direction to external licensees and vendors, as needed.
• Special projects for branding and marketing
• New brand development (if applicable).
Experience and Skills
• Organized, self-motivated, collaborative, detail-oriented and able to independently manage a project from conception to production
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work within given creative parameters and demanding deadlines and seek ways to improve processes and quality of output within functional areas
• Excellent presentation and verbal skills are essential
• Ability to take creative direction and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail, organized, balance multiple tasks, eye for color and design, good communication
• Hands-on, solution-oriented approach
• Team player
• 4-year bachelor degree in Graphic Design preferred
• 6+ years experience in Graphic Design and Photo Art Direction, specific to retail a plus
• Advance knowledge in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, production skills a must. Must be able to create mock-ups
• Fluent in fundamentals of design and production
• Photography, print, packaging, visual design & production skills specific to catalogue, creative thinking, project management, leadership, excellent presentation & verbal skills
