Overview
The Assistant Marketing Manager (Women’s Socks) will help develop and implement both long term strategic direction and short term business building initiatives for the Hanes Women’s Sock business. The AMM will lead/assist the Marketing team on initiatives including, but not limited to: Product line strategy development in conjunction with Merchandising/Design/Management, Packaging/Point-of-Purchase Communication strategy development in partnership with Creative Services, Data Administration/Process Administration for seasonal product launches, Inventory management, General business initiatives including monthly reporting/analysis and initiatives to drive sales and reduce inventory and Budget. With limited supervision, the candidate will work independently on assigned projects and must be able to excel and be motivated in fast-paced, dynamic environment but also contribute to collaborative efforts with cross-functional partners. Must exhibit initiative for optimal effectiveness and be able to easily multi-task across numerous projects and tasks
Responsibilities
• Able to take ownership of projects to proactively execute compelling product, pricing, and communication strategies/action plans to achieve annual sales and profit goals.
• Responsible for seeing assigned projects through from start to finish while communicating updates to direct team and Sr. Management when needed.
• Utilize various data sources as well as overall marketplace insights to develop programs to support the brand.
• Analyzing data from internal and syndicated sources to monitor marketplace trends and to support strategies to drive the brand.
• Effectively organizes and executes communication with various functional within HBI, relevant creative and media agencies, as well as any other outside contacts. Cross-functional team interaction will be a critical component of the position
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.
• A minimum of 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Keen attention to detail; strong multi-tasking capabilities.
• Computer skills, including an advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Must subscribe to and exhibit highest standards of business ethics.
