SUMMARY
The Media and Brand Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and management of the media planning, buying, and media maintenance for the brand across all media channels (digital, social, traditional). Additional duties include the management of marketing and PR needs for our licensed product division, management of all marketing budgets, and the management of marketing special projects. This broad role will partner with all divisions on any general marketing needs that may arise.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Media Plan Planning, Execution and Management
• In partnership with the head of marketing and communications, communicate with media agency on media briefing, objectives, target information, market priorities, seasonality, etc.
• Develop and Review media plans - in partnership with the head of marketing and communications, review all plans to ensure that budgets are held to and any placements are optimized
• Track media space commitments and plan accordingly for material due dates
• Manage and execute all media added value programs
• Social & Digital Advertising:
◦ Manage production of all digital asset creation
◦ Schedule weekly conference call to discuss findings with media agency
Marketing Budget
• In partnership with the head of marketing and communications develop, monitor and continually update annual marketing budget
• Layout approved fiscal budget as directed
• Allocate funds as needed throughout the year to ensure that all marketing needs and goals are met
• Track carryover and accruals monthly
• Monitor budget monthly and quarterly - run reporting and review actualized expenses/invoices versus budget
• Track all individual line items for larger marketing department projects (brand photoshoot, fashion show, events) laid out by the marketing & communications manager, to ensure total aligns with estimate.
Legal Clearance
• Working with the head of marketing and communications, manage all contract development through PE legal team
• Work with graphics team to ensure timely delivery of new packaging needs
• Uphold brand standards in packaging development and review all items for pre-approval
• Review usage with legal to ensure compliance with used marks and names
Licensing Communication
• Continually liaise with licensing department on any and all needs for the division:
◦ Working with the head of marketing and communications, develop marketing/PR programs to support our various licensed product categories
◦ Service licensing division in regards to all advertising and visual needs, new product launches, business and events
◦ Keep licensees aware of marketing opportunities, assets and needs
◦ Secure all licensed product samples for brand campaign photoshoots, e-commerce and collateral shoots, as well as any additional marketing or press events
• Strategize with Digital/Social Media Manager to plan and execute social media advertising and influencer programs for licensees for upcoming product launches or around key gifting periods
• Meet with licensing on a weekly basis for status updates and upcoming launches
Special Projects:
• In partnership with head of marketing and communications, oversee the development and execution of all brand special projects which may include activations, brand materials, special initiatives, etc.This may include:
◦ Brand Books
◦ Management of all brand copywriting
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
• Social Media knowledge
• Additional computer skills: Google, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Powerpoint, Word, Excel, scanning, resizing.
• Experience in fashion or apparel retail is required
• Bachelor's degree is required; masters is a plus
• Strong product management background is preferred
• Strong analytical and presentation skills
• Strong copywriting and visual skills
• Knowledge of Google Docs - Google docs, spreadsheets, presentations, file sharing, etc. Additional computer skills: Adobe Acrobat Reader, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, scanning, resizing Skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• 7+ years minimum experience in omnichannel marketing including but not limited to marketing, advertising, public relations, digital media, e-commerce marketing
• Knowledge of Google Docs - Google docs, spreadsheets, presentations, file sharing, etc. Additional computer skills: Adobe Acrobat Reader, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, scanning, resizing skills
