Overview
Be a part of the fast growing Champion Clife business that is distributed to Specialty retail accounts. Drive the development and execution of the Champion Women’s Clife product lines to meet the financial goals of the division. Manage all product direction and aspects of the Champion Clife Women’s business. The incumbent will work closely with cross functional team to contribute to the overall achievement of the business financial objectives supporting the brand strategies/platforms.
Responsibilities
• Direct responsibility for the Women’s Champion Clife business
• Manage entire scope of merchandising related tasks from line plan product development through to line finalization.
• Analyze sales performance for product recommendations and price points.
• Collaborate with Design on product line direction and execution of concepts to hit costing metrics.
• Strategize and collaborate with the Champion Marketing team on Seasonal Big Ideas, Costing and concept development.
• Build seasonal line plans using POS sales data, consumer feedback and market trends.
• Provide the team with seasonal competitive market analysis that include actionable conclusions.
• Coordinate all aspects of the of product line management including costing, product implementation, and product flow. Ensure product line execution, sales, and profitability objective for both account and HbI are met.
• Understanding of the specialty lifestyle market
• Daily interface with other functional areas
• Coordinate and manage all Sales Meeting Samples, photoshoot and Buyer Ad samples.
• Calendar adherence for all product deliverables managing numerous projects, seasons of development at any one time.
• Present product line to Retail Accounts and upper management
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
• BS/BA preferred Merchandising or Apparel Textiles
• 5-7 years’ experience in apparel product development/manufacturing and or buying experience
• Creative vision and sense of color/style
• Understanding of the specialty retail market
• Strong presentation skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a matrix organization
• Frequent Travel Required
